    bream

Above is a picture of the owner of Specimen Hunters with a good size bream, One of five caught from the River Thames within Abingdon.

The Specimen Hunters Clothing brand and designs are my own artwork covered by copyrights so you will not be able to buy these designs anywhere else.

Specimen hunters undertake the complete process from designing, illustrating, manufacturing, packing and posting of your items of clothing.

We are not like a lot of other designer clothing company's on the internet where they advertise items for sale but there items are made and shipped/posted by a much bigger drop ship company.

When you buy from us you really do buy from us. We will take your order's, manufacture your chosen designs onto your chosen item of clothing, pack and post.  If you have any problems with your orders, just contact us and you will be dealing with the manufacture of your items of clothing and not past around to find the company that actually made and posted your items.

Specimen Hunters items are not mass produced, a lot of time and effort goes into each design, illustration and the manufacture process, this can take from 30 mins to 45 mins just to make one item, these designs are very complex, you will not find any other designs like them.

All items are made by a small family team within the UK.

Your t-shirt, Hoodie will stand out, from River bank, field, workshop to everyday wear.

These items are as much a work of art as a top quality item of clothing.

We only use top quality clothing , the designs are very hard wearing , they will last the life of the garment they are applied to.

Every item of clothing is made to order by us specimen hunters.

Please note there is information on each fish, dog etc listed within t-shirt section, just click on more infomation on the design you are interested in, and there is infomation and a write up on that item.

Along with fishing designs i have been asked if i would draw and design for mainstream retailers so if you come across a design not to do with fishing you know why, I have started to draw designs for different hobbies that i like myself or i have been commissioned to draw.

I will start by telling you why i manufacture the Specimen Hunters brand of clothing.

I've had the fishing bug since i was about 10 years old, fishing in matches for local fishing clubs and representing the county.

Most of my Fishing has been in and around Abingdon on the River Thames and the River Ock.

This is a fantastic place to fish for most species of fish within the UK.

There are plenty of specimens to be caught from chub , tench , bream , barbel , perch , pike and some massive carp if you are lucky enough to play one to the bank, they are much stronger than pit or lake carp due to currents within the Thames.

What i have found to be a favoured bait is bread due to people throwing it in for birds, the fish are used to feeding on it.

I was lucky enough to catch a 25lb pike from Abingdon weirs fishing a ledger weight with a sprat for bait and i know they go bigger than that.

I wanted to turn my love of fishing,hobbys, drawing/illustrating into a business so i started to make the Specimen Hunters brand of clothing with my own drawings hoping they would become a must have accessory for fishing, metal detecting, fashion and hobbys. They are being stocked in retail outlets in and around oxfordshire and we are receiving  online orders each week from the uk and abroad.

I have also designed and illustrated logos for fishing clubs/syndicates and different organisation.

If you would like me to illustrate some designs for your chosen hobby, please contact us for more info.

I have put some useful contacts on my links page about where and what you need to fish within Abingdon on the River Thames and the River Ock.

If you would like to try Abingdon for a days fishing or longer please give me an email, and i will pass on  some of the best spots for different species.

The closed fishing season on the Thames is: ends March 14th starts again 16th June.

Thank you  Specimen Hunters
